Greetings! I am from the United States and relocated to Germany to join the freelance contemporary dance scene in Europe after working as a ballet dancer in the states. Now I have joined Kampnagel, a theater in Hamburg, as an event technician and use light, sound, video, and stage technology to help artists realize their productions. I love city life and the different rhythms and dynamics each place holds. Getting to see some of the historic, beautiful places Europe houses has been really incredible, and I hope to continue to travel as much as possible. Currently, I am traveling to Vienna to complete an internship for my work and will be working as a technician at Tanzquartier Wien in April and May.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When you are traveling, it is so important to have access to safe places to rest your head, especially if you are just stopping by a city for a short time on your way to another place. I love that there is a network of like-minded travelers who offer their homes and expertise in the cities they live in. Cultural exchange is so fun to take part in, and having the option to get to know someone who lives in a city you are traveling to, whether for a meet-up or to crash on their couch, is a great connection to have.
