I'm Doriane, 27, born in France and moved to Switzerland at 22. I'm a backpack traveler addict and an animal lover (sooooo yes I'm a vegetarian!). I'm a biologist. Studying wild animals in remote environments is my first love. I'm a crazy sportive girl, running marathons (OK I just run one, but still...), running trails in mountains, hiking, climbing via ferrata (that is sooooo cooooool!!), snowboarding, and so on...
I love to meet new people and share, I'm really curious about, like, everything and every one interesting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I moved up in Switzerland to do my master degree in animal biology, then I worked for 1 year in life sciences to make money in order to move to Quebec! YAAAY!!
Canada and especially Quebec is my most-wanted-living-country because of...everything I guess! People, culture, environment, and... UNIVERSITIES!
My purpose is to first come in vacations, for 1 or 2 months, to visit and enjoy your beautiful country, and maybe take a shot to get the PhD of my dream in polar ecology, later (But I'm not in a hurry, let's see what the Universe got for me ;-).

I'm looking for people willing to show me Quebec and wild remote areas. I am easy going, quite calm, but I like to chat hours and hours with a cup of tea (or a good beer) to share experiences. Moreover, if you have a comfy couch for me, it would be purrrrfect :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- My 7-days hitchhiking trip in Iceland with a German girl I met 1 month ago
- Planned to do the GR20 in Corsica, 180 km hike with 20'000 ascending elevation meters, get crazy sick on day 6 because of contaminated water, went chillingly at the beach instead (haha)
- Saw my really expensive tent flew away in a 2'300m alps bivouac (then I caught it....looked really bad :( )
