ABOUT ME

I am fun-loving, open-minded and eager for new experiences. I embrace variety and diversity in all aspects of existence. Some of the things I like to do best include: read a good novel; explore a new city; wander around in a forest or other rural setting; sit on a patio on a hot day with a cold beer and good conversation; watch a thought-provoking or controversial film with friends and then discuss it in-depth afterward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I signed up for this site because my girlfriend and I are travelling in Europe in the month of June. We are going to Amsterdam, then Berlin and the final destination is undecided, possibly Paris but I'm leaning toward Prague. The best part about travelling is the people that you meet and couchsurfing seems like the best way to meet people while travelling ever. So I'll be looking for hosts in the cities mentioned.

I also would like to meet people travelling to Toronto and I have a sofabed in my apartment just waiting for a guest or two!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Electronic, particularly techno; rock, particularly classic and indie; anything funky. I actually believe that every musical genre has artists who are geniuses and thus no genre can be written off entirely.
Movies: I'm an afficionado of horror films, although my girlfriend is not; I tend to like dark comedies, surreal stuff, non-Hollywood stuff.
Books: I have a voracious appetite for fiction. I also try to read non-fiction regularly, to keep that part of my brain limber.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going on location to a cabin in the winter for a week to shoot a film that I wrote the screenplay for. I've also jumped out of a plane.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can edit anything you like for grammar and spelling. I can show you a lot of delicious vegetarian things to cook (note: I do eat mostly vegetarian but I am not vehement about it.) I can follow a map. I'm really good with dirty jokes.
