ABOUT ME

Spontaneous, easy-going, like to be around people who enjoy having a good talk about whatever the subject might be. I attach great value to honesty, which implies I can be (too?) straightforward sometimes, which might scare some people off, but which is never meant to hurt anyone! I know when to hold my horses when I feel someone might (wrongly) feel offended... I try not to take life too serious by integrating a lot of irony in my thoughts and talks and the way I deal with things. My sense of humor is dry and cynical ;) (oh, I can be mysterious too, whenever I feel like making a strange remark about anything)

PHILOSOPHY

Don't take yourself and life too serious, but nevertheless always treat it with respect :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to host people visiting Ghent and show them around this awesome place & vibrant atmosphere. Everyone should get the chance to be in Ghent one day in his/her life! On the long run, I also plan to do some couchsurfing myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only just had my first couchsurfers, who were really friendly, respectful people, so I had a good first experience :)

Movies: films from Pedro Almodovar (e.g. Volver) & Fellini, Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain, Requiem for a dream), Das Leben der Anderen, The Motorcycle Diaries, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Babel, Million Dollar Baby, Ray, The Pianist,...
