About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to grow as much of my own food as possible

ABOUT ME

I'm a goofy person, and I like to laugh. My mom says that I could entertain myself in a paper bag. Thanks, mom. I've grown up the the Pacific Northwest, have spend about three years Europe, and I'm working on finishing my undergrad.

PHILOSOPHY

If you really want to do it, get off you ass and do it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to spread trust and good cheer by being a good surfer! I've hosted only once, though I hope to host many more people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had many awesome experiences, I've met only really nifty people that all had something to share. Thank you everyone for making this work.

Interests

People, languages, food, music, books, all the typical things. I love trying new recipes and ingredients, and sampling local cuisines. Wine and beer are pretty damn good, too. Biking, swimming. Enjoying the sunshine. Running. My garden is a favorite place to be, as well as the library. I'm a big nerd, really.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books are like food. Music makes me happy. Movies are the icing on the cake.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

You really can create a chain of cause and effect. When I lived in France I hitchhiked successfully (quick, safe, and interesting) and I told my friends about it back home. Recently one of those friends was driving and saw a hitchhiker and stopped to pick him up because I had done it, and wanted to help someone the way I had been helped. She told the hiker this, and he said to pass on a thank you.

It has to start somewhere, but we really can help each other with some care, consideration, and a funny story.

Countries I’ve Visited
