About Me

CURRENT MISSION

travel the world

ABOUT ME

I finished school in 2009 whereas my major subjects were maths, german, french, english & biology. In spring 2009 I took all my courage to move out and kind of discover myself forward-looking during a three-month internship in Frankfurt am Main. Now I'm back home as my flatshare was abrogated in december, working here and there and mainly planing a trip "round the world" starting march 19th. Definitely this will have an formative influence on who I am now and therefore (at least I hope so ;) ) create a new person who looks diferent to things that we can be sure about in the western world, as I will join a relief project in South America. Furthermore I will make a roadtrip leading through nearly entire South America and complete New Zealand.
By now I'm still very excited about what will aproach me, but by way of precaution - I think the best you can ever discover is while getting lost, no matter what you'll find along your way.

After travelling the world I finally start studying. We'll see if the whole world and all the different cultures influence me concerning the business. So far I purpose "media design" but I also had some visions heading for law or rather divinity, wherefore my interest was sparked by a hands-on traning lasting several days and by religious education.

Interests

I like playing drums, listening to music, going out or just hanging around with friends and some easy-going people.
I enjoy thinking about life and trying to figure out what the hell this is all about, although it seems like for every answer I find, 20 new questions arise. Philosophizing usually makes me depressed, since I usually come to the conclusion that there's nothing magic about life. I'm only a combination of cells. I'm only a furless primate with a big brain.
But I usually forget about all this and just enjoy life as it is. I think that's the point; not thinking about the point! And there are some magical aspects about life in which it's hard to scientifically explain: For instance music! Isn't it weird that if I play three keys on a piano, it will sound sad, but if I change one tone, the tune is happy? If you have a theory on this, please let me know.

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment, my playlist includes lots of soundtracks - most of them are amazing for relaxing and calm down in the evening of this everyday stressful life... and of course they provide assistance with thinking about the life how it is, can and should be!

Recently I mainly listened to rock and every genre that belongs to it, but by now I like the "gentler" ones.
It's not that I became that old (and therefore changed my favourite music) - I only realized that it's easier to start in a day with music that won't make you sad or agressive. (Even if you think music hasn't got an effect on your mood..it makes a difference)

I really like the good old films like "Laurel & Hardy" (well-known as "Dick & Doof"), Herby, those films from "Hitchcock" and "King" and those ones with "Louis de Funes" such as "Fantomas", les "Le Gendarme et ..." and "La soupe aux choux". But - no worry - I also like recent films, like "Chocolat" or "The Notebook"..

I mainly like specialized books...even if it sounds as if I'm joking - I don't like fantasy or novels. It's just not my way to lose myself in ficticious stories. (Note: It sounds more funereal then it is ;) )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't done anything that would fit here as good as the thing I'm about to do: I'm going to travel the "other side of the world" (seen from Germany), which will take 7 months. I'm very excited!
I think that's the most amazing thing to do, just leave your home and the world you know, to learn from other cultures, other stories and thereby broaden one's horizon in every possible way.
