About Me
I'm Greek, I've studied in Scotland and the Netherlands, lived and worked in Italy, France and Spain but I feel more European than any nationality in particular. I've got a degree in Maths but I've worked in hostels and now I'm studying International Relations in the Netherlands. I've lived most of my life sailing but I've spent the last year hiking and cycling. I have many interests -with a particular love for languages- and want to explore the world to figure out what I really want before that roots me down somewhere and I miss my chance to live this globe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hi there! I'm Doros and I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people and experience new places through their eyes as locals! I'm currently an International Relations student in the Netherlands but I've spent years living abroad, working in hospitality and hostels in particular and I love meeting new people from around the world! I like travelling in both cities and the countryside, tho in the countryside I prefer camping and focusing on my favourite activities of sailing, cycling or hiking. In cities, I really like walking around to try and see as much as possible -whether nice or ugly- and getting to experience a slice of everyday life there.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is one big thing for me, and I have a particularly soft spot for classical. Always keen to broaden my musical horizons by following new suggestions. I feel that music is a massive bit of what makes up the feel of someones home so I'm keen to hear you play on your paylists!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"I think that the most amazing thing I've done is to not stop after the most amazing thing.", Doros Voulgaridis, 2017.
Nah that's a shite quote. I think one of the things that have given me the most satisfaction was crossing over the Tatras Mountains from Slovakia to Poland in two days. Little sleep, a lot of weight on ma back, a freezing 2000m camp with the most amazing morning view of my life and in the end the closest I've ever felt to literally falling apart. All worth it.
