About Me

I'm very active and curious about the world and people.

I'm a financier and entrepreneur. I graduated from Warsaw School of Economics (majoring in Finance and Accounting with specialization in investment banking), and started my first job in the financial markets while I was studying.

I work as a commodity analyst in one of the leading brokerage houses in Poland. I'm also the publisher and editor-in-chief of the magazine on investing TREND. I regularly appear in the Polish media, speaking on topics related to financial markets, especially to commodity markets.

My favourite quotes:
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." - Steve Jobs
"There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long range risks of comfortable inaction." - John F. Kennedy

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling.
Exploring new places and meeting new people is not only a way of satisfying my curiosity about the world, but also the possibility to learn and constantly build character.

Interests

I love water sports - swimming, sailing (I'm a yacht skipper) and diving (PADI Rescue Diver, and probably soon a Divemaster :) )

And, of course, travelling. I write articles on travelling to Polish newspapers and I run my own blog on travelling: d-tour.pl (in Polish and English).

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually listen to rock music (especially industrial rock), but I also like electronic and film music. I'm open to different music styles.

I love "The Godfather" trilogy and I often watch documentaries (e.g. "Inside job", "Food Inc.", "Twenty feet from stardom").

I read lots of books, especially on travelling and investing/economy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent the night next to Derweze crater.
Sailed from Varna to Athens, partially through the storm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge about investing (especially commodities markets) and travelling tips.
I love learning new things, whether it's about business and entrepreneurship, sports, travelling, or other topics.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm well organized and I'm always on time. I often smile and I easily adapt. I don't complain and I don't need much space or attention.

I know a lot about the world and I can share my knowledge about investing and running own company.

And I can bring some good Polish food with me :)
