About Me

An easy-going girl who loves exchanging ideas and getting to know new places; determined and focused on my goals; open-minded, usually cheerful and (all in all) amiable ;)
I have just graduated Public History (Master studies) at the University of Wroclaw in Poland. I am now living in Girona, Catalunya, for the next few months, doing an Erasmus internship at the Arxiu Històric.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Quite experienced - I couchsurfed mainly across the Europe with my friends, fantastic adventures!
I've also travelled on my own, in Portugal and Andalusia.

Interests

I used to be a social animal, but recently I actually prefer quiet, more relaxed moments. I enjoy meeting people, getting to know each other and exchanging points of view, although recently I usually listen more than talk. I relish literature, cinema an theatre; lately I got interested in yoga as means of relaxation and overstepping the limits of my physical and mental endurance. I am not a crazy party-goer, I prefer spending time in more intimate atmosphere when people can really talk, I don't like the disco-noise which impeeds communication.

Music, Movies, and Books

all the films of Jean Pierre Jeunet ("Delicatessen", "Amelie", "Bazil"), documentaries about recent history;
no particular music, I actually do not usually listen to it, but i'm really fond of Goran Bregovic, Edith Piaf, Coeur de Pirate, Agnes Obel;
favourite authors&books: my idols Tiziano Terzani and Ryszard Kapuściński, I adore reportage, travel journals (Paul Theroux) or fictions inspired by socio-economic analysis of countries, where you can read and learn about the reality of life in a place; I used to known better my national, Polish litterature than the universal one, but I'm trying to catch up with all I missed

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

3 weeks travelling with my best friend through France, 1 town per day, couchsurfing every single night, changing places constantly, visiting as much as we can and getting to know loads of interesting, helpful people
almost a one-year trip around the Balkans, South-East Asia and the Caucasus with my boyfriend

Teach, Learn, Share

a pleasant conversation, exchange of experiences, I can teach how to knit if there are still people interested in craftsmanship, I know a few languages which I am willing to practice
