About Me
***Looking for someone to teach me Mexican slang! We may not get along if you don't say "que padre!" after every other sentence.***
I have two main goals at this point in my life: To learn everything I possibly can, and to make as many Best Friends as possible. 100% a person that believes that a person can have more than one best friend! I am currently traveling through Mexico. After spending a month in Puebla (<3) I have decided to try to continue to more coastal areas.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I decided to try CS after two Workaway experiences in Mexico. Both of my intercambio opportunities were wonderful, but most of the hosts are looking for help for month-long periods. Before coming to Mexico I thought this would be no problem, but of course, now I realize the expansiveness of this crazy, beautiful, Looney Tune country and I want to see as many spots as possible in my short stay! I also am looking to make life-long friendships, and this can be very hard when meeting people from hostels who only stay one or two nights then continue, plus when they have free time I'm usually working.

Teach, Learn, Share
Things I would love to teach:
-Yoga
*** Breathing techniques and poses I learned in Costa Rica. I went to one class reluctantly and went back every day after that for about a month. Not only did I improve flexibility, but I learned how to handle my anxiety!
-Painting and drawing
- Swimming
*** Lifeguard Certified
- Journaling
*** Maybe you read journaling and think to yourself "she wants to help teach me how to write?" I know it may sound silly, but for the past years, I have been documenting my experiences and feelings in multiple journals. The conscious effort to write and record as much as possible has not only allowed me to get past negative experiences, it has also served as the most beautiful time capsule, and now I consider my journals my most precious possessions. I was introduced to writing in this form in my freshman year of high school by an art teacher, and I would love the chance to share the tricks she shared with me. Not only can you form a beautiful work of art, but you can also increase your own productivity and create a memory aid as you grow older.
Things I would like to learn :
-Spanish
*** One of the main goals of my gap year is to learn Spanish. My grandmother is from Uruguay and want nothing more than to communicate with her in a way that makes her feel more comfortable. She is extremely shy speaking English and it breaks my heart, especially now that I know how it feels to be the odd man out! If I learned Spanish her and I could develop our relationship significantly, plus we could gossip about our family secretly at the dinner table.
-Cooking
*** When I was very young my family often joked around, mocking me for my inability to cook anything other than Lucky Charms. Sadly, as I got older, I believed that there was probably no way for me to learn. Of course, I would love to learn how to cook for...yah know... sweet revenge (mwah hahahah) but I would also love to balance my exercise with more healthy eating habits.
- Surfing
*** just started to surf, would love to put on some big girl pants and ditch the longboard!
-Dance
*** I love Cumbia and banda, but salsa is still another beast to me
-Diving
- How to ride a motorcycle
- How to drive stick
- Carpentry Skills
