Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel!
The best thing about travelling for me has always been to meet new people and to get in touch with the local culture.
Couchsurfing is an opportunity to directly get to know each other, it is more personal than staying in a hotel or a guesthouse. I live an a shared house with 18 other people. We usually have visitors in the house every other weekend, sometimes for a few days. It is always an enriching experience to host guests, especially from other coutries.
I'm looking forward to making new friends all over the world!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books:
- The Idiot (Dostojewski)
- A Song of Ice and Fire (Georg RR Martin, but also love the series)
- Persepolis (M. Satrapi)
- When Nietzsche Wept (I. Yalom)
Favourite Movies is a tough one. There are many.
I like the black humour of "In China they eat dogs",
the story-telling and graphic presentation of Tim Burton movies, especially "Big Fish",
Larry Clarks "Kids" is a must-have-seen and the animated documentary "Waltz with Bashir" was very moving.
But I also love fantasy and Sci-Fi, like Star Wars or Indiana Jones - all-time classics.
A real musical artist for me is Björk, she is incredibly inventive and gifted. In general, I like to listen to electronic music, Indie or what is called IDM, like Amon Tobin or Aphex Twin.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did several backpacking tours through Thailand and Sri Lanka.
Each of them was a unique experience!
