Hello there :)

My name is Dorothee but most people just call me Doro. I’m a German Photographer and Photo Editor and I decided, now is the time to take a sabbatical year to travel again and discover more about this world and me.
I always felt an urge to go and travel the world. For me traveling helps me to encounter who I am in a way thats only possible on the road. It’s all about the people you meet, friends you make, the conversations you have and the new refreshing perspectives you get. It’s the most valuable education in life and a source of energy to me..

 In general I would consider myself to be a fun-loving, curious and responsible person. I am caring, polite, free-spirited and love to laugh. 
My passion is obviously photography but I also enjoy all kind of outdoor activity, snowboarding, cooking and all sorts of DIY projects and Woodworking.

I like to go out but also enjoy a quiet night at home..

I started my working holiday in Canada in the beginning of April. Loving it so far! I began as a workaway on a little organic farm in Ontario. I enjoy spending time with the animals and going on long walks through the forest with the dogs.. I am so looking forward to meet people, make friends and get a real Canadian experience. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want a better understanding of the place I am traveling to and learn about the culture and lifestyle. So what better way of getting to know a place is there then to actually meet the locals!

I am pretty sure couchsurfing expands the horizon and brings people of all kinds together..and that's what it's all about.

I am ready for memories of a lifetime.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the beginning of this year I’ve fulfilled a dream and bought an old Mercedes Benz Van ( It’s called Matilda) and converted her into a camper van. In summer we had some amazing trips to music festivals around Germany and someday I plan to travel all over Europe with the old lady.

I can teach you some German, or  I would love to help with all kinds of creative projects and ideas you might have. Maybe you need some new pictures, my camera is always with me.

I am very curious and always eager to learn and do new things..
