I am a musician and educator. I have a husband, 3 cats, a dog, and a roommate. We are LGBTQ+ friendly, and love to meet new people everywhere we go. Some of our favorite experiences have been hosting couch surfers from Chicago, England, Israel, and Australia (we hosted these under my husband's account). We've gone on our own adventures to France, Spain, Portugal, Peru, Romania, and Mexico. I love traveling, and learning about new people and places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a teacher and musician, money doesn't flow freely. My husband is still working through his MD program, so we have to live life on the cheap end for now.

Interests

I'm an artist, so I love all creative activities. Dancing, painting, singing, playing instruments, writing, reading great literature, and anything that allows me to creative makes me happy.

Books: I love Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, Americana by Adichie, and anything that opens my worldview to understand people better.

My favorite music: Russian Classical music, Latin Jazz, 90s-now pop and dance music

Favorite movies: 10 Things I Hate About You, You've Got Mail, Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, Hidden Figures, Black Panther.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started a band program in Romanian at an orphanage in 2010. It is still going today, under the direction of some friends.

Teach: I love to teach people about music. It's my passion, my job, and my life.

Learn: I love learning about other cultures, systemic issues in societies, and opening up my worldview to understand the world around me in a better way.

Share: I can share music lessons, book recommendations, sewing instruction, dance parties, great food and wine, craft beer, and tours of Denver.
