My name is Dori, I’m a student from Budapest. I graduated in International Relations and European Studies. I’m staying now in Florence for an Erasmus semester. I’ve already done one in Germany and it was the best time of my life. As a student of IR, I truly believe that it is vital to travel and to learn &practice foreign languages. Besides traveling, I’m really into music and concerts and I would love to recommend cool bars and festivals in Hungary, especially in Budapest. Also, I’m a big fan of cooking and gastronomy.

Couchsurfing is a great initiative in my opinion and I’ve always respected people who host tourist. Traveling and collecting memories has never been so important than these days. Organizations and initiatives like couchsurfing, which are based on a general trust in people, are in favor of social integration. Also, in our globalized world we need to be open-minded and tolerant to other people. Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to get to know other cultures and new people and I totally support projects like this. I’m on couchsurfing because I would like to travel as much as possible while I’m young. I’ve always wanted to know that local people do, where they eat, not just the mainstream places to visit.

Windsurfing and a road trip to Italy with some friends of mine. I wanted to visit my Italian friends who I met during my Erasmus in Germany. It was one of my best holidays, I remember how happy I was when I saw them again. We spent a week in Italy and they showed us what local people do in Verona, Trento and Padova.
