ABOUT ME

In bulletpoints:

- I was a scout for 21 years, though I am no longer very active.
- I am finishing my Masters Degree in Psychology and Education, focusing on new technology and Digital Culture.
- I love working with kids
- I am active in something called "Children's adult friends", helping children of single parents and in tough situations find an adult friend - much like the "BigBrother programme" in the USA
- I love music and I love to sing, though I am not necessarily great at it yet (trying to get better though)
- I love computer and video games - both as entertainment, but also as a field of academic research.
- I spend a lot of time reading - both classics and newer books.
- I spend a lot of time doing volunteer work for CISV - an intentional organisation, who educates and inspires for a more just and peaceful world.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a buddhist, I believe in karma and that we must train our minds to achieve happiness.

I am always happy to host surfers, though I have yet to do some surfing myself.

Movies: Any disney movie (including disney channel movies), dramas, comedies, Pay it Forward, The Heart is deceitful above all things, Mr. Hollands Opus, Mona Lisa Smile, Prince of Persia, Avatar, the spiderwick chronicles, star wars, karate kid, back to the future, and many more.

Music: Almost anything, not so much new pop music or electronic music though, but swing, jazz, classical, heavy, metal, indie rock, rock, some pop, country - favorite artists are Pink, Creed, Robbie Williams, Martina Sorbara, Jason Mraz, Panic at the Disco and many more

Books: Fantasy and adventure - Eragon, harry potter, discworld, hitchhiker's guide. Classics - Les Miserables, the three musketeers, oliver twist, mark twain books. Philosophy - Jostein Gaarder books, Lila, Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance, books by and about Dalai Lama, and much more

And computer and video games - Elder Scrolls series, Fallout, Mass Effect, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy, old games.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I have taught children - I doubt there is anything more amazing anyone can do in the world. Children are our future and helping them to become good people are the most important responsibility anyone can have (in my opinion).

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Well - I am said to be a genius by some, so I guess I can teach you much ;-) I don't really know though, I know a lot of random knowledge and often win Trivial Pursuit and I love to debate philosophy and other subjects :-)
I am very interested in the development of digital media (games, the internet, etc.) so I could probably provides insights into some aspects of those.
