Overview
About Me
I’m an easy going person, open-minded, tolerant, friendly and honest, with good sense of humour. At least this is what my friends tell about me :)
I try to enjoy my life as much as I can and “always look on the bright side of life”.
I’m passionate about travelling to new places, meeting new people, spending time with them, chatting, laughing, cooking, eating...
My recent new hobby is cycling, so far in Poland only, but my dream is to join two hobbies together and start exploring the world from the perspective of two wheels :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What I particularly like about the Couchsurfing idea, is that it gives a fantastic opportunity to meet and share experience with great people who are open to other travelers, always willing to help, show around, introduce to the local ambiance, tastes and culture. This is something exceptional that you will not get staying in the hotels and sticking to the most obvious tourist attractions described in all guide books.
I regret not having actively joined the CS society earlier...
Interests
I love exotic travels to distant places, where I do not have to rush, where I can feel the wilderness and beauty of nature, where I can meet local people, spend some time with them, get to know them better, their customs, values, interests, dreams, taste their cuisine.
I enjoy very much many outdoor activities: cycling (this is something I do quite a lot recently), hiking, rollerblading, skiing, skating, just hanging around in new places.
I also love meeting new, friendly people, exchange ideas with them as well as go out and have fun together and once in a while do something crazy :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I like listenig to the music very much, many kinds of, but especially so called "world music". I also like female singers with exceptional voices. I feel very excited when I discover new music that touches me in any way. I enjoy the small intimate concerts, with little audience, with some improvisations. Jam sessions are the great ones.
I like watching movies, again, of different kind, depending on the mood :)
One day it could be a good comedy, another - a good documentary film.
Same about reading the books,
Life is definitely too short to do everything I would like to :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first exotic travel was a while ago and I must say - it was quite hardcore... I went to Ethiopia when tourism hasn't been developed there yet. Being exposed to very tough conditions,I learned there a lot about myself. I got to know that I do not need a comfy bed, comfy seat in a bus, a proper dinner every day in order to enjoy my travel. I discovered that this is local people and opportunity to get in touch with them that make the trip wonderful and other things don't matter that much. And actually I'm very proud and happy that I feel in such a way :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can tell you about my home country - Poland, teach you some words in Polish (they maybe real tongue twisters though...). I can also share my experience from the countries I've visited.
Feel free to ask anything you are interested in, I will be more than happy to answer :)
I would love to learn about your culture, your interests, maybe I will get some new inspirations for myself. If you like cooking and can share any recipe with me, that would be also a great value for me. We can also do some cooking together :)
