About Me

This is definitely the hardest part!
*I am a clinical psychology master's student. I pretty much like to be in university, so i want to spend my life in university for the sake of science.
*I have lived in Istanbul for whole my life, except my 5 months in Bombay. I was in India for the exchange program.
*I am a football lover, a fan of Trabzonspor.
*Currently trying to adapt a new way of living: Being in the moment, perceiving the world as it is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I do not travel to visit museums or take photos in the biggest buildings of cities. I travel to get the taste of that country, to experience how it is to live there and to learn as much as i can about that country/city. Thus, CS is a great opportunity to for me to easily meet people and share with them each other's experiences.

Interests

Music and literature are my passions. I spare most of my free time to these activities.

I also get very excited about science. Psychology related issues are my interest but i also wish to learn more about physics.

In addition to these, i enjoy playing and watching football a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am an amateur musician who plays Blacksea kemençe. So, i generally listen folk songs. I do not like any music, movies or books that belong to popular culture, so i try to explore hidden beauties in these fields. I am very open to hearing advices that i have never heard of :)

I try to be a good reader. I mostly read Turkish literature but some of the international writers that i respect a lot can be listen as such: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Dostoyevski, Jean Paul Sartre, Tolstoy, Henri David Thoreau (even though he is not a writer in fact), Stefan Zweig, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

10 days silent meditation in India!

Teach, Learn, Share

It is a joy for me to listen to local songs of the places i visit. So i would like if my host could teach me some nice pieces :) Also, i am open to good book advices and would like to read local writers that is unknown here in Turkey.

I can teach them the opposite direction of these. I can also teach them some little meditation, yet i am just a beginner practitioner. Lastly, i guess it would be interesting for people to hear some funny/ attention grabbing psychology experiments or facts. I know quite a few!

Besides all, i am pretty much open to new experiences that could suddenly occur, thus my learning scope is always open to learn new things from my hosts or guests.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe we will have a lot to talk about in general. I'm very interested in a different culture and a different point of view of life. Besides talking, we can exchange some music and food! I am not a bad cook :) i can cook them some Turkish food.
