ABOUT ME

Dotes and Lauren here. Dotes' real name is Brendan, but everyone calls him Dotes (the origin of his nickname is really not an interesting one).

WE LOVE to travel, and it has been the main motivation in our lives for many years - we have been working and travelling intermittently for the past 9.
We love all things food and drink (BEER, WINE, COFFEE)!
We are very easy going, don't like to make too many decisions but just go with the flow. We really like music, listening to music and seeing live bands/going to music festivals.

Dotes is from Iqaluit, Nunavut in the Canadian Arctic. We lived there for many years until embarking on this trip about 5 weeks ago. We left just as the sun starts disappearing for the winter.
Dotes also plays bass in the most famous band from Nunavut(!), an Inuktitut folk-rock band called The Jerry Cans [www.thejerrycans.com]- you should really check them out (spoiler alert: there's Inuit throat singing involved!).

Over the last 9 years we've grown pretty tight.. we'd probably be married by now if we weren't hassled to get married every day by our friends and families.

Together, we have been to over 50 countries and counting!
