Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am just a surfer. I hadn't heard about this amazing project until just before I was coming to Oz. It would be nice to do some hosting when I get home next year.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfed in Darwin, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane and love it! Met some really awesome people! =D Thank you!!

I was travelling with a friend from Feb until May and have been on my own since then. I have been working as an au pair =) While I have been here 'alone' I haven't felt it because people on CS are so friendly and helpful. I know there are always people on here wanting to meet up and do stuff. Just fantabulous =D

Now it's Sept I'm off to Bundy to work on a farm to extend my visa for another year as I'm so not ready to go home yet!

Interests

Hmmmmm lots and lots of stuff. I'm really easily pleased. I love doing and learning new things.

Things I love include:
Walking bare foot around new cities, the smell of new things, the smell of rain, handstands & cartwheels, bargains, fishing, music, playing the violin, pink, coco pops, Whittaker’s toasted coconut slab, good coffee, chicken skin, fresh fruit & veg, roast carrots, lip gloss & lip balm, waterfalls, seeing new things, driving, swimming, shopping, eating, my Blackberry, MGs, photos, memories, smells that bring back memories, my Sylvester, touch lamps, shooting stars, hair straighteners, laughing so hard you cry, Pandora, chicken salt, bbq sauce, make up, smelling and touching everything, Ben & Jerry's, Bundy rum, finding things, hugs & kisses, my diary, darts, reading, peoples writing in wet concrete, red & purple jelly tots, sunsets & sunrises, The Laying Down Game, random objects & antiques, animals with legs missing, complete animals (miss my dog so bad!!), snow, clean sheets, toasted marshmallows, quotes, making people happy, children, colouring, housework, old peoples stories, kids temporary tattoos, words ending in 'sh' and of course family & friends =)

Things I don't like:
That watery bit in ketchup, the sound & look of people brushing their teeth (gives me goose bumps!), jelly, nachos, cruelty or bullying...especially to the elderly and animals, loosing friends, bad smells, people fighting, ignorance, littering (seriously annoys me), poor service, socks & thongs worn together lol

Ok I'll stop now. That was fun =)

Music, Movies, and Books

My fave film ever is Snatch! It's annoying to watch it with me as I have a hard time not speaking all the lines, yes, I am that sad! Second fave film is Pineapple Express. Watched it for the first time just before I came to Oz and have watched it a few times since being here just 3 months lol. My Facebook statuses at the moment are mostly quotes from this film =P

Also love all of The Lord of The Rings. I have a mission to watch them all in one day sometime =D

Hmm I like a lot of films.

Love reading although I haven't read a book for a while. Read some awesome ones. I read horrid, true story books that make me cry and think 'How could somebody do that?!'. But I still read more of them.

Oh, read all of the Harry Potter books and they are my fave!! Amazing!!

Also like to read light hearted funny books like the Georgia Nicolson diarys by Louise Rennison...sooooooo funny! Cry with laughter to these!

Also like a Mills & Boon ;)

I love all types of music. Can't live life without it. Love how a song can bring back so many memories! My fave song though is You Do Something To Me by Paul Weller. But I seriously love pretty much any type music and say 'Oh I LOVE this song!!' to every one I hear lol. Open to hearing songs that other people love. I've heard a few from being in Oz that will go to my fave list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well I still have a lot to see and do. Seen some AMAZING things in Oz. The most amazing things I seen. But my fave has to be Millaa Millaa falls in the Atherton Tablelands. Oh my word it blew me away! Can't get over the beauty of the place. Ever since I was a little girl I had wanted to go to a perfect waterfall like this and swim under and behind it. I didn't really think a place like this existed. Straight out of my dreams. This has to be the most beautiful and breath taking thing I have ever seen.

Also love Disney Land, Florida =) Want to go back!

Oh and a tiny place in England called Wells-Next-The-Sea!! My fave place to be. It's just a little fishing village in Norfolk.

Hmm amazing things I've done. Played my violin in a big orchestra in a big theatre a few times as a kid. Tap danced on stage too as a kid too and felt very special tehe.

Oh I went in one of them cool wind tunnel things in Florida where it’s like you’re skydiving.

Hmm, not done much yet!

While in Oz I will sky dive, bungee, dive the Great Barrier Reef and go in one of them cages in white shark infested waters!

When I get home I’d like to cycle coast to coast.

Teach, Learn, Share

I just want to learn anything! Things I have never heard of. Would be nice to learn a bit of guitar and improve my few words of French. I used to play the violin and would love to start lessons again when I get home to England. I can teach you some cool party tricks lol. Oh and I recently found out that I'm pretty good at them 3D eye magic things so I could try and amaze you with that lol.
