ABOUT ME

My husband and I are fairly easy going enthusiastic people with a passion for life and all that it holds...we have a daughter born in 2014 and a son off at Uni so often need to consider when we have space to host around their needs as our home is fairly small.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted people from OZ, the US and Hungary so far and we have surfed couches in Kenya, Oz, & NZ as well as meeting up with people in Hong Kong and China... we are always pleased to host/meet new people and generally have fun!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have loved meeting people from all walks of life who we wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to meet - sharing stories of life and travels with others is always a pleasure and we look forward to many more!

We love music, reading, camping in our gorgeous bell tent, yum food, films, a good beer, catching up with friends and generally trying to cram in as much as we can..there just aren't enough days of the week. always looking for what to do next...

We like indie, hip hop, soul, house (and a bit of shameful pop)...all sorts of things but not cool enough to ever own all the music I like and shamefully haven't bought much recently!...love books like Thousand Splendid Suns, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time and current fave Shantaram to Love in the Time of Cholera...films...Life is Beautiful, Leon, Shooting Dogs, The Lives of Others..too many to mention!...oh and Green Wing rocks...

Hewi: climbing Mt Kilimanjaro! building houses in a township in South Africa, junkship on Halong Bay...Sam: sunset over mt kilimanjaro...NYE in sydney...cycling in Bali...driving our campervan around NZ with my then 12 year old son!
