About Me
CURRENT MISSION
build a pimp school house in kenyaaaaa
ABOUT ME
Well, I'm an au pair in Amsterdam. I take care of two sweet little girls, who you will get to meet if I am able to host you :-) Adventures are the focus of my days, and meeting new people is an essential part of my life. I like scrabble..I'm kind of nerdy, I like reading history books in my spare time and I will ask you millions of questions about your culture and country, if you let me.
You will find me to be relaxed, open, kind and very curious. Quite the expert on a'dam so far, and I really enjoy showing people the real Amsterdam, so if I'm not able to host you, you will always be offered a walking tour :-)
When I 'grow up' I think I will be an author, human rights activist, and will always try to bring understanding where it is neeeded.
My goal, simplified, is to break the cycle of poverty; in a big way, or smaller; in a village, country or continent. Just going to offer this world my best fight and I will carry that fight with me everywhere :-) For now, I am building a new school in a Kenyan village, due to be finished January 2011
To reach my goals, and satisfy my curiosity, I am going back to university in Sept 2011.
PHILOSOPHY
My intention each day is to keep my perspective fresh. My life is so great, and I love it. I dont want to waste my minutes and moments.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am passionate about music but I prefer to keep my knowledge of it very small. The only music that I don't like is heavy metal screaming type music..and country twang. I love reading any books suggested to me but especially Pillars of the Earth. I like nearly all movies and especially adventure movies or rough comedy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
witnessed a fierce lion fight in the Masai Mara. It was sort of my first taste of living.
cycling 1000 miles in Europe - ack!
earned the love and trust of a child
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some nice dutch phrases!
I am a collector of information, and seem to remember all sorts of trivial things, so I bet I have an answer or two for you! ...dont expect me to remember anything useful though, such as your name..birthdays..etc... :-)
ah yes, and I chase problems until understanding bursts through. Its a good feeling to arrive at understanding.
