Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet people and give as much about our local area (NOT just Byron Bay) as is wanted by any that are willing and wanting to share. Do a makeover on a new home and its surrounds and hopefully be finished by 2020.
And travel also.
ABOUT ME
Tall, receding and has played hard. Easy going as in friendly, spontaneous, enjoys life and is devoted to his family (his two girls).
PHILOSOPHY
This has been said before but at my age I am still very undecided which direction my life will take. I know that I am about to move into a new stage w enthusiasm and from there... not sure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Able to offer house to 1 or 2. That would be comfortable for all as there is a spare bedroom. Sleeping on couch is therefore optional. Able to show and relate to local area as I have lived here for 25 years.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have not had a bad experience either hosting or surfing. Some time ago I thought that CS was a great idea (after returning from backpacking around Thailand in 2008).
Interests
Nature, it is an incredible teacher. The growth and steps that my girls choose in their lives. How totally we collectively have left our mark on the world; good and definitely bad. With and around people, leisurely - whatever is on offer and affordable , sometimes creatively depending on the mood , working when the need arises.
- socializing
- working
- leaning
- enjoying what the day brings
Music, Movies, and Books
Not a very big movie buff but can become engrossed or keen at times. In this part of the world, JJJ. Enjoy concerts and live bands at times. Bluesfest when I can; live band launch in Brisbane this saturday the 13th (Kolorsol). New venture is making cigar box guitars , totally enjoyable.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Birth of my first child: the most beautiful experience... don't know about that but it certainly impacted and has remained. Seeing my first ufo's; take it or leave it but I know what I saw. Bangkok (its first impression).
Teach, Learn, Share
How to transplant Frangipenny trees; actually did that recently but not sure of success yet.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, tall and true. A bottle of wine.
