Doug and I got married a few years ago, but in the decade we've known each other (and forever forward) we hope to continue dancing, climbing and otherwise enjoying all the places we visit!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We mostly host and surf a bit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Doug and I feel like we started couchsurfing long before this site existed! We are both long-time members of the contra dance community, and we've been welcoming dancers and musicians as guests into our homes for a long time. And since we're dance gypsies ourselves, we've also stayed with lots of other dancers from around the US.

But we do love that CS exists so we can meet lots more new folks from just about everywhere! We travel a lot and think that this is a fabulous resource!

Interests

Gardening and pottery (for Fiona), RPGs (for Doug), dancing, climbing, kayaking, reading, camping, hiking, traveling and games for both of us.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing? Inconceivable!

Camping in a tiger reserve in India and hiding & sneaking around elephants.
Ziplining through over the Costa Rican Rain Forest.
Jumping out of a perfectly good plane.
Snorkeling through so many fish in Aruba that it was a little unnerving.
Canoeing with alligators in Florida.

Teach, Learn, Share

Doug will happily teach anyone new games or talk about all manner of deep and interesting topics. Fiona can teach you how to knit, throw a pot, or help you learn all the plants in the garden. We'd both teach you how to swing dance.
