We were verified before we got married and changed our names. Now-a-days Couchsurfing wants $25 for verification. I miss the days of free verification.

James and I met through Couchsurfing and are married as of November 2013. Thanks Couchsurfing.org :D

We are always looking to meet others by traveling and hosting. You can never have enough friends. We're curious about other peoples travels as well as lives. Always willing to share.

We are non-smokers, no drugs (outside of prescriptions), and have a short-haired tabby, named Pepper. Although we love all animals/pets, Pepper doesn't share well. Hence, his house, his rules LOL

We are enjoying the world of a plant-based diet (vegan) and loving it. We have no problem dining with carnivores as we embrace the varieties of life that exist in our lives.

We are naturalists, but as surfers, we would always respect your home and your lifestyle.

We love the people up here in the PNW (Pacific North West) and love showing the little bit we know of Portland to others as well.

I'm not fond of the weather (Summer-time is way too short), But the Pacific Northwest is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever lived and in combination with the very friendly people, one of the best places I have lived. James loves the weather and teases me all the time about it.

"Live and Let Live" is the easiest to explain.

There is no such thing as a bad experience, when you are happy with who you are today. (ask me I love explaining this philosophy)

Interests

We pretty much blend in with whomever we're with. There are a few things I'm not fond of or just can not do due to past surgeries (I really miss snow skiing and racquet ball). I also hate really scary movies and don't like sad movies :-(
Of course James likes scary and sad movies lol.

James has a zest for life and loves even the things I'm not able to do haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

My movie preference list is usually comedies, science fantasy, and a few action drama's. When watching TV I tend to gravitate to the "police" dramas such as NCIS and Law and Order. Although we like the British comedies and the science fantasy as well. We just despise comercials.

Love lots of music and don't know the names of either the song or the artist (although James does). I just know I like listening to "that" song.

My reading material (that I prefer over TV) are books written by Dan Brown or in his style/genre. Always looking for something similar (and if you know of some, please let me know).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a retired Radiologic (X-Ray) Technologist I am able to actually see different parts of the human body working (and unfortunately sometimes not working). A most fascinating machine.
