ABOUT ME

As far as I go, man I would say I'm a pretty easy-going and chill guy. I like to see and do a lot of different things which is why I love traveling so much. The learning experience of being in a new environment and meeting new people is very interesting to me. I also enjoy interacting and socializing with people a lot, but I enjoy my down time as well. I'd say I get along with most people very easily. I'd also say I go out and have my fun for sure, but definitely maintain my responsibilities and focus.

PHILOSOPHY

Gosh. my personal philosophy would be to let go of the things that aren't important instead of getting angry trying to control things that don't really matter. I also think being friendly and helpful is important to creating a better society over here in the Sates. I think speaking up in an honest and courteous manner and using your intelligence in a peaceful but firm way produces much better results. And just try to go with flow that life takes you on.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not sure how to answer this so I'll just say in as friendly of a way as possible. I find being friendly, open and honest with people is the best way to interact with others/live your life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

ZERO! I have had none. I've traveled around a lot, met a lot of interesting people in odd ways and crashed on many different couches before but not through couchsurfing at all. I have friends on CS but for some reason I just never got around to joining until now.

Interests

I'm interested in social services and helping people that need help. I love sports! I enjoy learning more about the intricacies of food, wine and beer. Traveling and going on amazing adventures of course. I'm kind of a film buff. I like being active and the outdoors. Mostly I like doing interesting things with interesting people and I'd say the people I care about are interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm into to just about anything except for country and techno. Nothing against those. I've enjoyed them at time but I don't usually prescribe to them. And maybe less pop songs too.
Movies: I love all styles. I usually like good drama's like Good Will Hunting, American Gangster, The Dark Knight movies, The Fighter, The Town, Hitchcock films, good comedies whatever man. I'm way into film and television.
Books: Same thing, I like em all. I read novels, fantasy, autobiographies, sociology, research books, Hemingway. I will say that everything I've read from Mitch Albom I've superbly enjoyed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm gonna say my 2 backpacking trips through Europe, moving to Oregon for school and not knowing anyone, and moving to Chicago after school and not knowing anyone. Those were all great and important experiences for me in their own ways.

I feel a bit odd trying to expel knowledge or wisdom onto others on this page but I will say I think that what works for everyone is not the same so we've got to do different things to help us figure out what exactly works for each of us. Patience as well.
