About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to settle down to a lifetime of travel.

ABOUT ME

i don't know if anybody would have enough time to read that much mindless drivel.
i don't really believe in horoscopes, but i'm a taurus; apparently we like to enjoy the finer things in life. which is true of me: i like things like good food, good company, good wine (that sounds better than good beer which i like A LOT more), deep political and emotional conversation, superficial chats with loads of laughs about nothing at all, a good party.
i don't mind roughing it either, a good solid 22 hour bus ride thru an old soviet country on a bus that wouldn't be allowed on the road in the west.
i wanna either work really hard or not at all- don't give me a job where i have nothing to do, i've got better ways to spend my time.
i wanna see the world b4 it or i disappear.
i wanna walk the streets of foreign countries and just say g'day to everyone.
i wanna go surfing and snowboarding.
i want electronic gadgets.
i want to have some kind of environmental impact conscience for the things i like and do.
i want to get rid of all my material baggage.
i reserve the right to contradict myself.

are u bored yet?

PHILOSOPHY

i want to live life, NOW! i don't want to spend all my time thinking about my future. (i'm a bit worried that in the future i'll wish i had spent some more time in my past thinking about my future)
i don't believe in religion, but live as closely as i can to the idea of karma.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

as yet i've only surfed 3 times.
but i want to surf lots more.
its so much better getting some kind of local or expat perspective than checking into a sterile hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

i think i watched to much doctor who as a kid.
i like sci fi books, movies. i like art house, blockbuster, comicstrip, comedy, heist, world movies.
give me tarantino, give me city of god, give me star wars and guy ritchie, give me more australian movies.
i like just about any kind of book, but dunno if i can stand another celestine prophecy type book ever again. right now i'm reading the adventures of haji baba of isfahan, it was written in 1824. its a lot of fun.
music? just about anything from brahms to pantera.
no country.
i don't like country music.
did i mention i'm not real keen on country music?
i like some of the aussie hip hop thats about these days. lyrical rhyming structure needs some development, but who am i to talk- i tried writing some hip hop lyrics. i was terrible.
i like dancing to terrible music in dodgey discoes sometimes.
i like festivals like Big Day Out, but then, who doesn't.
