Resumen
Sobre mí
I'm a 21-year-old English teacher who lives in Brazil- São Paulo (SP). I'm a language student at USP (University of SP), where I intend to improve my language skills in general (not only related to one langue in specific, but mostly related to Linguistics, hence how languages work in general).
I've studied music in two different technical courses (Pop Singing and Choir Conducting), but it's been some time I don't get in touch with my musical side, so I might be a little rusty.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I'm over here now because I hadn't heard of this site before. The idea of traveling around the world and getting in contact with other cultures and people is just amazing. It's always been a dream for me.
Intereses
I'm a "language nut", so whatever happens around me, I tend to think of it linguistically.
I love singing, reading and whatching TV series (mostly american ones).

Música, películas y libros
I basically like all kinds of music. My favorite kinds are Brazilian Popular Music (over here we call it MPB), Symphonic Metal and Indie-like Rock.
As far as movies (and theatrical plays too?) are concerned, I also like a little of everything, but my favorite genre is drama. I seldom cry while watching movies and stuff, but nothing pleases me more in one than its ability of ripping my heart apart =P
I love reading, but I've got to be honest. I haven't been reading as much as I should. When it comes to books, I also like drama, but I especially like books that make us reflect about life and verge between fantasy and reality.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I've survived a critical disease that was with me from the time I was 1 year old 'till I was 3. I had to undergo chemotherapy some times and basically all of my bones broke because of the disease (whose name I'm not quite sure anymore, because, in Portuguese, it used to be called "Histiocitose-X", but the name may have changed, or so I've heard).
I know it's not a lot, especially because I was only 3 when I got over all this, which means I don't even remember it, but a lot of doctors I visit nowadays barely believe it I survived a serious disease like that one. I guess I was pretty lucky ;)
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I don't know exactly what I have to offer, but I promise I'll make an effort to teach anybody who wants to speak a little bit of Portuguese (or even Spanish or French, maybe).
I think spending time with somebody makes it impossible for us not to learn from each other.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I'm a vegetarian. If you are too, we are surely going to have some fun exchanging tips and ideas about it. If you're not, we'll have fun discussing the idea (don't worry, I'm not going to try to convert anybody to vegetarianism, it's nice just to talk about it).
There are many other things I probably can share, but none have come to mind now. You may just ask me anything you want, I'm an open book.
