Overview
About Me
I grew up in Boise and live there now. I've also lived in Los Angeles and Seattle in the recent past. I studied psychology in college and law as a grad student. I try to play a little jazzy guitar every so often.
I am vaccinated against COVID-19.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During 2015 I started actively using the site while traveling in Northern Italy, Slovenia, Austria, and Germany (this was in relation to hiking a large portion of the Via Alpina). I had very positive experiences with it during that time; however I have not been very active on the site since then; my work schedule and other things have not permitted me much in the way of travel time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books-Train Dreams by Dennis Johnson, anything by Tobias Wolff. Ted Simon's book about riding a motorcycle. Sometimes a Great Notion by Ken Kesey.
Music-Pretty much all kinds. I listen to Frank Zappa and the Grateful Dead quite often, but I'm pretty open to listening to any kind of music.
Movies: The original Wicker Man is probably my favorite movie presently.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
If you consider making complicated spreadsheets amazing, I do something amazing almost every week ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess I can help you learn English if you want someone to practice with. The thing is that I don't really know how to speak any other languages, so I can't be a super fantastic teacher.
I can probably teach you something cool on guitar. Or how to draw. I'm good at hand drawing. Maybe I could draw a distinguished portrait of you as payment for letting me use your couch?
If you come to Boise, Seattle, or LA while I'm in town I can show you all the cool stuff that the guidebooks won't show you, like how to get a library card.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can for sure get you a meal or two if you host me. I can tell you all kinds of weird stories about America. If you live in America, I can tell you weird stories about neighboring states.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Ireland, Italy, Mexico
Countries I’ve Lived In
