About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm usually looking for fun, in whatever shape or form. I like to joke around, and try my best to be a pleasant company. I like to talk about the most diverse topics, specially the ones I don't know much about, so I can expand my knowledge. I'm a fairly open guy to talk, most subjects are not taboo for me. I believe in fairness and honesty, and in my very own limited way try to make this a more equal world to live in. I abhor corruption of any kind. I think people should be free to live they way they think it's best. I think friends and family are essential. I can be a bit aloof and quiet at times, I admit I need some "me" time every now and then.

Interests

I love languages, I can spend hours talking about linguistic uniquenesses and expressions that vary from language to language. I love music, both listening to and playing it. Hip hop, rock and funk are always on my playlist. I like to party when I have the energy to do so, and at one point during the weekend - and sometimes during the week, heheh - you'll certainly find me at a bar talking or at a party dancing my ass off. I really like movies, and have a special place in my heart for post-apocalyptic themed ones (The Road, 28 Days Later, Mad Max).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I left Brazil. When that airplane door opened in Lisbon, after half a day travelling, it was really magical, as if the air itself was totally different, special somehow. The first view I had from Africa. The way from the airport to the place I was staying at in Bissau was really something: I had never seen so many black people in one place, and then I understood I was in Africa. The mixture of poverty and kindness, not that different from Brazil. We really are their descendants, it was like going back to a home I had never been to. Completely new experiences in a completely different place. Amazing people, both local and foreign. I learned a lot there.
