CURRENT MISSION
To love life on the trip of a lifetime!
ABOUT ME
Hey guys!
Crystal and I are a young couple travelling the world for a year, having an awesome time meeting new people and seeing some amazing sights along the way.
Before embarking on our trip we were living in Sydney on Manly beach and in our professional careers are public relations managers.
What can i say about us? We are fun loving and easy going... whether it be trying new foods, great wine and meeting new friends in each country, to seeing movies, hitting the beach for some waves and sun, enjoying a our share of big nights out... we´re up for anything!
We thought we would try couch surfing because of glowing referrals from fellow travellers.
In a nutshell this is us:
Crystal - loves a great book, conversation of any kind, the beach, movies with popcorn, and is an excellent cook!
Doug - loves surfing, sports of all kind but especially rugby league, steak and wine!
PHILOSOPHY
We both have our own philosophy on life, but in a nutshell Crystal believes that everything happens for a reason. As for me (Doug), I guess you could describe me as happy go lucky!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Where to start! Before travelling we both had many highlights, namely getting married in the snow in Denver, Colorado in 2007, and professional highlights such as Crystal running a highly successful PR campaign for World Youth Day 2009 in Sydney and for Doug, working for the Australian Rugby League and travelling with representative teams to Papua New Guinea and all over Australia.
Our travelling highlights are too many to mention. In just 4 months there have been some great sights! We have climbed active volcanoes in Guatemala and roasted marshmellows on a river of lava, spent 3 days on a cargo boat sleeping in hammocks with 300+ Peruvians while floating down the Amazon River, taken at least 20 very challenging overnight bus rides, surfed the longest wave in the world, marvelled at Iguazu Falls and mountain biked and motocrossed our way through magnificent valleys across South America.
Teach, Learn, Share
One thing that has come up a lot is the fact Crystal and I are married but from different countries... we went through a lot of immigration red tape to be together in Sydney and plenty of people we´ve met also have partners who are from other countries and so enjoy hearing our story :)
