About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel with an open mind and experience the real culture of a country.

ABOUT ME

I'm really easy going and approach life with an open mind. My aim when I travel is to meet as many local people as possible and learn as much from them about their culture as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

Continue seeking new experiences, learn from them, and grow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to share my life and travel experiences. I like to teach and be taught.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first CouchSurfing experiences in Albania and Kosovo in November 2009. Met very very friendly and helpful people. I really like to get a local's perspective of life in their country and do what locals do.

Interests

I live to spend time outdoors - be this hiking in mountains, climbing cliff faces, camping in remote national parks, surfing the waves of the ocean, or scuba diving beneath.

I also love competitive sport, having played tennis since I was 6 years old and also working as a tennis coach. I did triathlons for a couple of years, then topped it off with a marathon.

I want to meet new people and experience the real culture of a country. I like to take my time when traveling so I really get to know how the locals live - I spend lots of time exploring local fruit/veg/antique/arts/craft markets!

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything light hearted that makes me laugh and feel good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

How can I choose one? Hiking Federation Peak in Tasmania - known to be one of Australia's toughest bushwalks. I can vouch for that - but the feeling of satisfaction after it was amazing!
