CURRENT MISSION
Exploring, Learning, and Finding How To Do Good in the World
ABOUT ME
That I love food, people - not necessarily ranked in that order - and finding ways to have fun and have adventures. Other than that - it's hard to peg me down - I lived and grew up in five countries and can identify with American as well as Brazilians or Chinese culture. Sometimes my accent changes while I'm talking to people depending on there they're from. My ideas can be a bit out-there, but I find ways to stick with them and pull them off. I don't forget people I meet - and have a great memories for little things they tell me.
Interests
I love learning about new things and am interested in just about anything. I also find people very fascinating and like to find out where they've lived and traveled. People I meet are more interesting than the places I visit sometimes, and wherever I go I try to identify with people who lived there - because it might just end up being where I'll move to one day.
In addition to meeting cool people and places, I'm also really into creative and adventurous things. My latest thing has been cooking and has landed me work in one of the top vegetarian restaurants for a while. I also aspire to climb the seven top mountain peaks in the world one day, and am on my way to getting a pilot's license.
My passion though is finding ways to help people in countries I've lived in and visited. It's something that has always driven me and I hope to make that my career - there's no better job than doing something you love and would do even for free...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I saw left China for the first time - it was Canada back in 92. It was like going years into the future, and for weeks I was walking around just soaking in all the new technology, things to buy.... Then I learned that those things weren't as great as things like family that I've had to leave behind - funny how things are.
When I got to college and met people who are different than any group I've lived with before or will ever again. Such high concentration of motivated and talented people - it really opened my eyes to things I've never thought about, and taught me tons and gave me a lot of perspective through their experiences.
When I arrived in Brazil for my first real post-graduation job / internship. Working with people who've never experienced some of the things I was able to - I felt like I knew so much and yet so little at the same time. I was motivated like never before to really make a difference with what I knew, but learning how is the difficult part. I'm still learning that, and will continue to until I get there somehow.
