Overview
About Me
I love traveling to the Kruger National Park. My next trip I'm planning to go to the Netherlands Germany , Belgium and Rome in August 2018. I would love to visit South America in the future. I have the tiniest house in the neighborhood but I can accommodate 2 people.
If you are interest in me hosting you, PM me and I'll send you my LinkedIn URL. I deleted my Facebook profile due to them leaking private information!! I can even send you videos of my 3 fat cats and my closest friends telling you about South Africa!
I love meeting people from different countries, so you are welcome to my house!! If you have a private plane I'm so willing for you to fly me over to your country and visit you :-) Ok, that was my sense of humor talking!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like an opportunity to swap a couch for a couch and I am proud of my county, our not so good history and how far we've come. Oh, yes, dont pay people while couch surfing its not right of them to ask you for money to couch surf. Ask me, and I'll see if I can hook you up with a true couch surfer in Johannesburg.

I will definitely braai for you which is a big part of my Afrikaans culture. It's equivalent to a barbecue but usually includes boerewors which a a sausage, braaibroodjies which is like a toasted sandwich with cheese, tomato and onion but made on an open fire, potato salad, glazed cherries wrapped in bacon and Malva pudding. I love to go to the neighbourhood markets in Johannesburg downtown, taste craft beer and try new red wines and food from all over Africa like Marroco, Egypt, Sudan etc. We have an amazing mix of immigrants from all over Africa with them manning the food and craft stalls. Oh yes and then I will have to call my lift service to take us home after a bottle of red wine :-)
If you pay in dollars things are quite cheap. A really good bottle of red wine about 5 dollars.
A meal in a upmarket restaurant with 2 drinks about 15 dollars.
A great and dirt cheap north Indian curry restaurant close to my house that charges a corkage fee about 7 dollars.
Cooking at home for 1 with a fillet steak, a salad 6 dollars.
An Uber from my house that will hook you up the the the closest rapid bus system about 5 dollars and the bus trip itself is very cheap. The busses run every 10 minutes.
Movie ticket 6 dollars. There are also lots of takeaway places in my area that offers free delivery.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My house and my limited cooking skills :-)
Unlimited 10 mbps WiFi.
3 fat, cats that are a bit over friendly and if you dont close your room door, Meneer Niemand (Mr Nobody) will sleep at your feed and be very unhappy if you move around :-)
If time allows I could be able to take you in and around Johannesburg. Ziplineing, bungee jump at the Ponte towers, apartheid museum. Even to the Kruger National Park is time and budget allows. It is 600km outside of Johannesburg and you need at least 4 or 5 days there.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Mauritius, Mozambique, Sweden, United States
