Overview
About Me
I am a 41 yo journalist-writer and social activist on the field of immigrants and refugees' rights, from Athens, Greece, who's been surfing couches around the world and having his couches surfed in various locations, for some good ten years. Now, I've finally settled down in Athens and bought my own apartment downtown, I redesigned/refurbished it and created a private CS room, with a wooden two-story bed, a private WC-shower booth, wifi, a separate entrance and access to a huge terrace, as we are on the top floor of the building. Three cats are living with me, Sira, Dali and Rigoletto, all super friendly and easy going. If you're allergic they can easily be kept out of the CS room.
As for me, my friends say that i am an ''all weather guy'' - you may see me in a black tie reception as well as in a tent, totally wasted, on a remote nudist beach :) I work hard, but I always find spare time to have fun. I have many friends from all kinds of people and I love visiting new places, meeting new friends and getting more experiences. I've lived and worked in NYC for a good bunch of years, and for shorter periods in Tel Aviv, Kibbutz Yotvata, Budapest, Belgrade and Pristina.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my life so far I've slept on many couches and many people have slept on my couches as well, since i was a kid. My family tradition was to have an open house for everyone and my job includes a lot of traveling. Hence, Couchsurfing is something very familiar to my lifestyle and mentality. I've been CSurfing since 2005 and so far I've officially surfed 14 couches in three different continents, while my quite notorious money-green couch has been surfed by more than 50, i think . Yes, I can always get more and that's why I'm here :)
