Hosting travelers who come through upstate NY 30 minutes east of Albany NY. My home is 2 1/2 hour drive from New York City.

ABOUT ME

I love hosting travelers!! We live in upstate eastern NY state near the Mass. border. There are lots of cultural activities as well as hiking and skiing and other outdoor activities. I am a former teacher and currently involve myself in several volunteer projects and my husband is an artist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a host. You need a car to stay with me because my home is located in the countryside.....there is no public transportation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting is my interest here. When I volunteered at the Olympics, there would be young volunteers staying with hosts found, at that time, on hospitalityclub. They inspired me to sign up!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am somewhat of an Olympic groupie. Since 2006, I have volunteered at Torino2006 Olympics, Vancouver 2010 Olympics, and London2012 Paralympics. Add in a couple of University Games in Torino2007 and Belgrade2009.
