Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Diego, a Brazilian psychologist who is deeply curious about people, cultures, and the inner world we all carry.
In the last few years, I’ve spent long periods living in community environments, including eight months in a rural ecovillage in Brazil, where daily life involved shared responsibilities, gardening, cooking, caring for spaces, and learning how to live together with respect and awareness. These experiences shaped the way I see the world: connection, simplicity, and presence matter more than rushing and performing.
I also spend time in India, where I’ve joined meditation retreats and learning spaces that helped me develop a more conscious and grounded way of living. For me, travel is not about “checking places off a list,” but about feeling what it’s like to live somewhere, even if just for a short time, understanding daily life, conversations, rhythms, and people.
I’m calm, respectful, and adaptable. I’m used to shared spaces and community routines, and I value clear communication, mutual care, and a good sense of humor. I enjoy meaningful conversations, nature, cooking together, walks, and those simple moments that end up being the most memorable.
I’m happy to share stories, help around the house, and exchange perspectives about life in different parts of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe the best part of traveling is meeting people, not just places. I love experiencing daily life from the inside, sharing conversations, meals, and small moments that make a place feel real. For me, it’s about connection, cultural exchange, and learning how different people live, think, and see the world.
