ABOUT ME
Like you, I'm an intrepid explorer with curiosities that span the globe. My sister caught the international yearning from me, and I can't wait to see where she and her family ends up next. I've experienced the blessed kindness of strangers in the most remote locales, and wish to return the favor. My last house party oscillated between Korean karaoke, African pop, and Latino salsa! The food and guests were amazing!
PHILOSOPHY
In my first international stay, I went to my mentor with feeling of isolation, unease, and anxiety.
"Great!", Dr. Vernon replied. "Do you know how many people DON'T get the opportunity to live outside of their comfort zone? You've been given a gift - the gift to see the world through the eyes of snother culture. It IS difficult. But only by feeling uncomfortable can we truly evolve into the people we are meant to be."
Here's to all of you who value experience over momentary comfort; we who rise up from one couch to the find the one that becons over the horizon.

Music, Movies, and Books
Please bring the iPod!
The sound system is already set up. Microphones, amplifiers - the works. If you can sing, I'll round up the requisite riff-raff to fill in the band. The percussion instruments are already set up, and I'm game for guitar, bass, vocals, etc. However, I've been told that I can't sing well in Croatian!
Teach, Learn, Share
The Latin root for "doctor" is "docere", meaning "to teach". In each stranger I meet, I hope that I learn and teach in the same measure.
