Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to spend a perfectly useless afternoon in a perfectly useless manner
ABOUT ME
I am employed in an I.T. consulting company, actually assigned to a customer located outside Rome (in Acilia). I work for on regular business hours this means that I get out at around 8:30am and am back Rome in late afternoon.
JULY 2015 UPDATE
I ve entered a new company and now I am working on Microsoft Windows environments at Fiumicino airport, on shifts.
PHILOSOPHY
I would quote Blaise Pascal:
"All men's miseries derive from not being able to sit in a quiet room alone"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I admit that I joined CS community mostly motivated to find some cheap accomodation after having planned an holiday trip to Florida, USA, back in autumn 2009. I started then to host people, willing to increase the references on my profile, but then trip time got closer than appeared to me and in the end I had to leave without having searched properly, and finished to go in hotels (first nights) and hostels (after a quick decrease of my budget). Once back home, I continued to host for a couple of years then I limited my commitments to some social events. Now I like to be an active host every now and then, especially during the summer season.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I still have no experience as a guest, but so far all the experiences done as a host have been rewarding in a way or in another.
Interests
Cat cuddling, biking around, watching people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: unfortunately I am not a frequent reader since I am using internet which is taking most of my free time.
Movies: I love all good movies but hollywood comedies. Ok since "good" is subjective, let's mention three of my all times favourites: "A clockwork orange", "Breaking the waves", "The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser".
Music: I can listen almost everything but jazz.
So far, the international bands I attended most gigs are SKA-P, RADIOHEAD and MUSE.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Among amazing things seen will always remember some mighty natural landscapes around the globe, and above all Victoria Falls of the Zambesi river and the Pacific Ocean shore of Country Club de Villa, Lima Peru.
As an amazing thing done I would mention that I appeared in a very short (but talking) scene with the "actor who became the preeminent leading man in Italian cinema during the 1960s" [according to source http://www.eb.com]. Who was he? You may ask it in your request as a proof that you read my profile (anyway also this one is not a strict rule for me, it could be simply a plus)
