Overview
About Me
Born in Romania, grew up there for the first 7 years of my life, then moved to the seacoast of New Hampshire. Fell in love with the natural beauty and diversity of the area; ocean and beaches, rivers and bridges, mountains and hills, small college towns and cool little cities. Studied cognitive science at McGill University in Montreal, worked for a couple of years, and now pursuing a master's in computer science at UNH. I believe traveling is a great way to grow as a person and connect with others - which is why I'm always looking to do more of it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What better way to travel (and support other travelers) than through couch surfing?
Interests
Earliest (and still ongoing) passion: soccer/football (premier league, champs). Strongest passion: music (playing guitar, singing, piano, banjo, harmonica... accordion next on the to learn list!). Newest fascinations: financial independence through frugality and minimalism. I love sports (kicking around, pond hockey, shooting hoops, tossing frisbees) being active (especially outside - biking, hiking, backpacking), and connecting with people through good music, good food, and good conversation. Learning new things is the most exciting thing!

Music, Movies, and Books
Too much awesome art out there to go through it all... For music, it all started with The Beatles, and from there, I've listed to and loved the 60's harmonies and psychedelia, the 70's blues inspired hard rock, the 80's rebellious garage rock, punk, and synth pop, and the rest of it from there is all over the map. Currently very drawn to anything electronic.
Movies/shows: Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Moulin Rouge, Arrested Development, The Mighty Boosh...
Books: Catch-22, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Animal Farm, The Old Man and the Sea...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once resolved never to laud any of the amazing things I've done.
Teach, Learn, Share
- I can teach you words in Romanian;
- would like to learn how to do a standing backflip (gymnasts anyone?);
- let's share music and books!
