Tansi, Salut, Hello!

Current Location: The Whitsundays Island, Queensland

I'm originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It's a medium sized centrally located along the flat prairie landscape. It's unbearably cold in the winter and the first snow fall has already begun as of October 12th, 2019. Which is a bit unusual, but hey - that's Canada for ya. I highly recommend visiting my city and if we are both there at the same time, I can offer you a warm place to sleep and a guided tour.

Travelling has been an eye opening experience so far and I've loved every second of it. This was my first time leaving the Americas, going beyond northern hemisphere and crossing the Atlantic Ocean. I've witnessed myself go through tremendous growth both intellectually and emotionally in the past six months. Being able to have the freedom of meeting new people in unfamiliar situations is daunting, but worth the reward.

Currently I'm working on a small tropical island in North Queensland. I've called this place home for the last four months and have experienced a new type of lifestyle. Time moves and passes at a different rate when you live somewhere this remote. I often forget what day of the week is it because in reality it doesn't matter. Being able to look out my bedroom window and practically touch the ocean and gaze at the clusters of beautiful islands is a blessing.

Back home I enjoyed keeping active by biking in the warmer months and skating or skiing during the winter. My home city holds the record for the longest naturally frozen skating trail. A night consisting of drinking a coffee stout and cozying up in a warming hut along the river sounds perfect to me.
