ABOUT ME
I'm travelling while making videogames.
I love meeting new people and try to say "yes" to new opportunities.
I will say almost anything with a straight face just to see how long it takes the other person to realise I'm not serious.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met a whole bunch of really lovely people at Couchsurfing meetups in Coventry. Have actually couchsurfed only once but it was a great experience so hopefully that will change soon!
Interests
I'm a big fan of interesting games and forms of play. Playground games, party games, video games, board games, etc. Who says we're meant to have grown out of these things? So it's not too unusual to find me running across a city looking out for zombies, balancing a lemon on a wooden spoon or wearing a tower of unusual hats (these are all real things!).
I am a competent juggler (some people would say that's a bit of an understatement). I have been known to act in the odd pantomime. I've been hitch-hiking in Europe a couple of times and will probably do it again. I've gone skiing quite a few times and will hopefully do that again too.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Way too many to list here. Highlights might include Into the Wild, Stardust, Serenity or Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Anything with ridiculous amounts of action or which makes you smile long after it's finished. Anything dark or with a totally unhappy ending. I almost always would choose watching a film I've never seen before over one that I have.
Books: My new favourite author is Robin Hobb: I recently worked through her first three trilogies and loved them to pieces. Currently reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series which is also amazing. Anything by Terry Pratchett, Dave Gorman or Danny Wallace is guaranteed to be good: I particularly loved Yes Man - at once both hilarious and inspiring. Generally read fantasy and sci-fi.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In November 2008 I did a charity hitch-hike with a friend, to see how far we could get in 36 hours without spending any money. We made it to middle-of-nowhere, Poland, before our driver was pulled over by the police for some unconventional driving. He was arrested and we were left stranded by the side of a road. It was dark, cold and miserable. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
You are capable of making a videogame. Or a boardgame, or a playground game, or some other kind of game, I don't really care. If you enjoy playing games, you might well enjoy making them, and it's totally something that you could accomplish!
I can also give juggling lessons...
