About Me

CURRENT MISSION

water balloon fights.

ABOUT ME

25 year-old guy who is very friendly, outgoing, and loves to meet people from other cultures, particularly from places that I have not yet had a chance to visit. One of my favorite parts of traveling has always been staying in hostels and becoming best friends for 2-day periods with people from all around the world.

When my hair is long people think I'm black. When it's super short, they think I'm hispanic. When it's in between, they just sort of squint at me in confusion. I am a walking social experiment, in that I can pretend to have origins in basically any part of the world outside of scandanavia.

PHILOSOPHY

People hear stereotypes. People meet people. People break stereotypes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting people! People meeting me!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted a couple of people back in DC a few years ago but then moved up to Boston and lived in an apartment not amenable to hosting. Sadly I've never actually surfed myself yet, so now's a good time to start!

Interests

For fun I enjoy water balloon fights, playing tennis, hurricanes, toffee, reading non-fiction, sitting on my sunny back porch, and bumper cars.

Agreement in science does not imply agreement in policy. Science deals with the search for objective facts, while policy deals with the balancing of subjective value judgments.
