About Me

Travel Bug | Hitchhiker | World Explorer <3

Humanity is kindness and kindness is humanity. To give and receive is a beautiful thing. To teach, to learn, to share, to experience, to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through couchsurfing while hitchhiking Europe I've met some awesome hosts and other couchsurfers across the world and to be honest, it has really added to the experience in a tremendously cool way. I love meeting people, learning about different ways of life, perspectives, cultures, traditions, just learning and travelling as much as possible really.

I just absolutely love the founding principles of Couchsurfing, why would you not want to be a part of such an amazing community!?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking adventures totalling more than 20,000 km in many many countries for the past few years... hiking through Nepalese mountain villages... jumping from 15,000ft out of a plane... speeding through the Mexican jungle in a sand / dune buggy... Sat in the cockpit of a flying jumbo jet on route to Aus and pressed the auto pilot button for the pilot (cool for a 7 year old!)... set a new high score on an arcade game machine in Korea... Drove an army tank 200m (cool for a 10 year old!)... cage dive with 13ft sharks just outside of Cape Town... motorbiked through SE Asia... I can’t choose!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share with you how I travel, low budget travel, particularly regarding backpacking and hitchhiking. Very familiar with hitching roads around London, Bristol, Cardiff (& South Wales generally), Birmingham etc, as well as mainland Europe (Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Denmark, Bosnia, the list goes on and on and on) so can provide reliable and probably fairly recent data :) There are so many stories to tell. People often don't realise how much you can do with so little, and I love to help show how kind the world really is. I love sharing stories of crazy hitchhiking adventures and incredible ways of travelling low budget / low impact. Food sharing events, ways of doing things cheaper, alternative communities etc. Opening minds, opening doors.

I love cooking, I’m a complete foodie! Let’s teach each other some dishes?
