About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spread magic, happiness, bushels of glitter, and to place an OhmGnome Gnome Hat on every magical creatures head. The gnomes and I have currently been focusing our current mission on building our magical small craft business alongside wonderful farming opportunities in NorCal. Craft wise I am building a brand called OhmGnomes as I mentioned that is a Fiber Art and Lifestyle brand advocating the rich stories that exist throughout the various regions and cultures of the world through sacred handmade felt gnome hats. Farm wise I'm currently working with a beautiful team of magical people to build a farm that provides free to low-cost access to the best organic and sustainably cultivated veggies and grains in the Willits Valley. Together these opportunities I believe are to be shaping my next chunk of years ahead, allowing me to grow and connect with the land I live and breath on as well as with the people that I see and love everyday.

ABOUT ME

Im a gnome... that's the first thang. Next, I've long been on a journey towards manifesting a better self in mind, body, and sprit. I'm quite easy going, very personable, and am a silly critter to keep intelligent conversation with. Felting, wirewrapping, and dream weaving are primary interests of mine quickly followed by vegan waffle crafting, ganja tree bonsai, and wee hints of marketing. I always have a gnome with me... usually multiples. I finished a BA with a degree in Religious Studies from Columbia University with a focus on the use of various plant medicines in religious practices amongst indigenous and non indigenous groups in Peru. I'm mostly vegan but ohhhhh do I love raw goat cheese and milk. Overall I'm passionate to learn from those around me, and am dedicated to the mission of Couchsurfing.

PHILOSOPHY

We hit bumps in the road, they seem too much sometimes, but with the right attitude we can all learn from everything. I believe that not everything is perfect, but everything is beautiful. Maybe there isn't a reason for everything, but it all seems to just sort of work out. Treat another like you are going to see them again. AND I believe everyone should carry a gnome with them at all times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I use couchsurfing as a means to meet and experience new people around the world. There is something special about bonding with a person in the safety of a home where money can be used to enhance an experience and not merely be an ends to get through the day. I look to the community most off as a way of building a global network of family that may allow me and others to travel in comfort yet inexpensively so that they may share themselves with the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a relatively experienced couchsurfer with experiences all up along North and South America on several different excursions. My experience for the most part have been ecstatic and beautiful, true blessings that I am eternally grateful for. There have been some weird ones too, but those are not the ones one should focus on. This is a wonderful community that I hope to keep growing with!

Interests

I am very interested in the whole holistic movement from plant medicine healing to veganism to new age spirituality. I have a huge desire to help spread health, love, and a positive mind&body connection amongst those around me. Felting and creating my gnome hats is huge, being a resource for small businesses looking for help, creating websites, playing with ganja, reading faerie tales, eating waffles, ya gnome... gnomin' out if you 'gnome mean?

Music, Movies, and Books

SHPONGLE!!! Man, oh man... I love Shpongle. They are my favorite and I adore listening to them. I am into any music, even ones that are a bit dissonant, with the proper instruction and its unique characteristics highlighted, I can appreciate anything.

Grateful Dead... of course... String Cheeeeeeeeeese...... Phishy Poo.... yes please!

Movie wise... not the biggest fan of them really. I will watch documentaries mostly, but if someone has a good movie recommendation then I will usually give it a try just to see what it's all about. To list a few though: Baraka, Samsara, The Talented Mr. Ripley,

As far as books go, I am into books that deal with the testing of the human mind. I enjoy reading about struggle and what a character has done to deal with hardship and loss.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a year to study and backpack throughout South and Central America, and then slowly made my way north to surprise my mom for Christmas in 2013. Also I believe manifesting this opportunity to create fiber art has been one of the most amazing things I've ever done for myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Amongst the goody bag of skills I have stored away is an art for vegan cooking, handpan drumming, felting both wet and needle, basic didgeridoo stuff, sewing, and speaking multiple languages. I spent a year backpacking not too long ago through SA and would love to share stories and the magic I learned about sacred plants and traditions.

I do dreadlocks professionally so that would be something I'd love to share. Let me help you start your steady journey!
