ABOUT ME
Swiss-American living in Colorado. My main calling in life is seeking out adventure in the world's more rugged, natural, and wild landscapes, as well as places "off the beaten tourist path". I enjoy rock climbing, cycling, hiking, snowboarding and just spending time outside. I have dual Swiss and American citizenship, so I consider both Switzerland and the US a homeland. I was born and raised in Northern California and then later lived in Colorado for 8 years. Though I never officially lived in Switzerland, I have spent many lengthy, significant chucks of my life there. I've spent time living in the Netherlands and Sweden and now am back in Colorado.
PHILOSOPHY
The Golden Rule, treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed and hosted.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I Couchsurfed for the first time in Sweden in summer 2010 and it was awesome. Since then, I've hosted and surfed many times.
Interests
When I climb things, I'll climb anything from the smallest little boulder to the biggest mountains in the world. Doesn't matter, I'll be happy doing it all. I've been climbing for about 12 years and have had some pretty great adventures. I don't see myself quitting anytime soon.
Aside from climbing, I dabble in a number of other outdoor activities like cycling, hiking, pack rafting, canyoneering, snowboarding, and kayaking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are too many, I couldn't come up with just one :0
Teach, Learn, Share
Many people never really venture outside their main social circles or comfort zones. There is nothing with wrong living like this. I believe people should be able to live out their lives no matter how they like so long as they are not hurting anyone. But for me personally, I need to step outside that boundary from time to time in order to gain those life enhancing experiences I crave. That is the beauty of couchsurfing; by integrating yourself into the lives of locals at a travel destination, you understand that place on another level.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can be any type of guest. I don't mind being completely self sufficient if you are not going to be around for parts of the day, or I also don't mind hanging out as well. One thing is for certain, I will always be happy to bring groceries or whatever as a token of good faith. I am just grateful for a place to stay.
If you are interested and provided there is anything to climb nearby, I am happy to take you out climbing. I have taught many beginners over the years.
Other than that, I can always provide good company and would enjoy sharing stories over beers.
