About Me

I love to travel in backpacker style, and I enjoy traveling either by my own or with my friends. I have experienced hostels, b&b and couch-surfing while accommodating myself or with my friends while traveling. As a couch-surfer, I was hosted twice while traveling in Taiwan and did build lovely friendship with my host and get to know more about the cities they were located in with special affection by their guiding. I am grateful for these two lovely experiences and I would very love to contribute myself as a host in near future and keep my couch-surfer identity for encountering new experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Encounter interesting souls and connect all possibilities in life. Would be wonderful to bring inspirations mutually in the upcoming experiences ☺️

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Dirty Beaches, The Velvet Underground, Deerhunter, Chilly Gonzales, The Soft Moon and so on. However I am also very interested in listening to folk music from the countries I visited for being emerged in the cultural atmosphere. I listen to jazz music and classical music too. Love Ambient/noise music as well.

Movies: Tokyo Stories, Seven Samurai, Dreams (yes I am very into Japanese movies); Devils on the Door Step, Summer Palace (Chinese movies from directors after 1970s)...I also love contemporary Korean movies (by Park Chan-Wook, Hong Sang-Soo and Lee Chang-dong; Turkish movies, Iranian movies and so on. I love to watch all kinds of films no matter it produces in the contemporary or in old times.

Books: The latest one I read which moved me a lot is The Sound of Things Falling written by Juan Gabriel Vásquez.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had several chances to visit Damascus during my exchange students period. I was very fascinated and also enjoyable by the grand architecture in its old city area, friendly people and serene atmosphere there.
