I'm Katherine! I'm a junior at ASU studying biological sciences. I grew up here in Phoenix.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was a kid I traveled with my parents some, and we always took the standard route of staying in hotels in new places. When I was 15 I went to Sweden with a close friend and stayed with her family-- it was a totally different experience. We didn't spend all our time with her family, but it was really great to be around new people who had lots of know-how about the area. I think meeting new people in a new place can be a wonderful and really add to the experience of traveling, I would love to continue doing that!

Interests

I like shows and concerts, scuba diving, animals, and the environment.

My favorite movies are Fargo and Reservoir Dogs!

Right now I'm really into reading Mary Roach, and John Darnielle's novel Wolf in White Van was also really great.

I like They Might Be Giants and Streetlight Manifesto. That's not exclusive, I like lots of music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel like I've had lots of great experiences but I'm not sure if they'll sound "amazing" compared to people who are always traveling the world! But I went skydiving after I turned 18 so that was pretty neat
