About Me

I'm an American studying for his masters in Scotland. Comic books are my life at the moment, but in previous lives, I studied Biology and Music Composition. Most of my time right now is dedicated to studying and working (which I'm lucky enough to enjoy a great deal), but when I get some down time, I like to visit the pub with friends or just curl up at home with a good movie.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I surfed around Europe quite a bit when I was in undergrad, and hosted several surfers while I was living in Boston. Unfortunately, I haven't logged on in years, and my old account is still associated with a now defunct school email, so I'm starting fresh with a new account.

Music, Movies, and Books

Listening to a fair amount of James Tenney at the moment. My favorite books right now are all comics: Asterios Polyp, Building Stories, Saga, Sex Criminals, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I swear, it's fantastic). Favorite movies: Young Frankenstein, Ghostbusters, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Jurassic Park

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran a 50-hour long trivia contest on my school's radio station during my undergrad. I won't bore you with details now, but if you ever want to see me geek out about something, ask me to explain this to you.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can't claim to be competent at teaching anything, but I have taught trumpet lessons, into to music composition, and a class called "apocalypse management." Stories from that class might actually be some of the best things I can share, come to think of it. I'm always looking to learn more, and am happy to get lessons wherever I can find them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some good conversations and maybe a recipe or two. I'm only traveling to places because I want to be there, so you can bet I'll be an enthusiastic guest!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Denmark, Ecuador, Germany, Norway, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
