Overview
About Me
Hey all! I'm a 6'2" ENFJ design student attending school in Washington, but natively from the SF Bay area in California. :) I was technically homeschooled until college, but had plenty of online and community college classes thrown in for good measure beforehand. I love making terrible puns, and I've gotten considerably worse since starting school here in B-Ham. But they're worse in a lovable way, I promise you. Sesquipedalian words delight me, and I'm always eager to acquire more. Looking forward to talking about all sorts of things!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because I want to have the option to travel on a college budget, not just for myself (because I'm sure it's a big hassle that I could do without), but for the people I know with whom I can share positive experiences and stories. I'm seldom one to turn down a genuine opportunity for friendship, and if my destination happens to coincide with that, then so be it. :)
Interests
Since the age of 2, I've been drawing in pencil and marker, and enjoying myself thoroughly in the process. People say I'm pretty good, so I'll take it.
Design is a passion that has morphed from that; I find taking an idea from your head into the three-dimensional plane of existence we call home to be an immensely satisfying pursuit, albeit a whole lot more arduous than drawing said ideas. My focus is products, but the field of ID extends far beyond that.
My favorite thing to do in my spare time is to dance Blues Fusion. I discovered it in the winter of 2014, and my oh my, has it made life so much more amazing. If we're going to meet up, we are almost certainly going to go hunting for blues dance venues as a matter of course.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Coldplay first, Coldplay forever. But now I'm really into more electronic stylings of the folk/indie genre than Coldplay ever claimed to be. Bellamaine is a cool group and well worth checking out. Sylvan Esso would be another excellent pick.
Movies:
Scifi/action/adventure are generally super-well received. I'm an Iron Fan. Trekker also. But my favorite movies lately are "The Lego Movie" and "About Time." Winners, both of them.
I don't have as much time to read books as I once did, sadly, but I recommend the series "Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" to any and everyone. At least, anyone who believes in magic, epic story arcs, and not minding reading six books to feel at all satisfied.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I rowed on the Western Washington Men's Crew Team during my freshman year. I thought I was just barely hanging on and dragging the team down, but I put in my work and came out of winter training looking strong and rowing stronger. Won several medals at PNW regattas, and the most amazing achievement was when we drove 14 straight hours down to California (my homeland!) to compete in the WIRA regatta in Sacramento. I was 2 seat on the novice 4+, and we won the whole freakin' thing, placing first in the semifinals and the grand final!!! Rowed the entirety of the grand final 2k bleeding profusely from one knee I had grazed on the side of the boat, which naturally rubbed off onto my hand and created the epic blood fist I now cite as the reason for our victory. That was the happiest moment of my competitive sports career, no doubt in my mind. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positivity. Drawings. Dances. Puns. Laughs. Long, wonderful conversations. Hopefully, an appreciation for the life they live and their part in a great big world of individuals with different stories that intersect in the strangest of ways.
