About Me
Curious about people from different cultures and learning about others :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great way to meet locals from all around the world, and it's an awesome idea for when you are on a budget.
Interests
Gardening: its fun watching something start so small and fragile, and then grow into something beautiful. I love all plants--especially ones you can eat!
Hiking: Living in California and Oregon has blessed me with some awesome hiking adventures! Whether its a day hike, summiting a mountain, or a multi-day backpacking trip, I AM DOWN!
Foraging: Let's find some mushrooms!
Biking: I don't do hardcore racing, but I have an adorable bike from the 1980s that I love to cruise around on.
Yoga: keeps my mind, body and soul at peace. Nothing beats a good stretch.
Cooking: I have much room for improvement in cooking, but I used to work in a kitchen and I love learning new ways to cook food, I prefer local and fresh food whenever possible.
Wine: I work at a winery in Oregon and find wine to be a beautiful art, the process from turning the grape into a delicious drink is fascinating to me. I hope to learn more about regional wine varieties.
Craft Beer: yes.
Animals: except snakes!
Traveling: always on my mind.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: classic rock, jam bands, funky groovy rhythms, peaceful melodics, hip hop, let's dance!
Books: I love nesting up with a good book....non-fiction anthropology, fictional thrillers, books that get you thinking....send me some recommendations!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in New Zealand for 5 months while going to school. I got to get the whole Kiwi-Experience while Bungy Jumping off a bridge!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn more about regional wine variations, learn more yoga moves, and learn customs that other cultures share.
I'm a teacher and can show you wonderful local hiking trails, secret mushroom spots, and the best places around to grab a beer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
